A debut mini-album by an Australian dark/drone ambient project Secret Druid Society. The release is built on the contrasts of different styles of music, mixing together ethnic melodies, orchestral passages and dark ambient backgrounds. It begins with a light ethnic-influenced "Empty Fields", continuing with a melancholic dark ambient part featuring "Violence And Sorrow" - a contrast composition with classic motives, abstract and haunting "Building The Hell", and ritualistic "Sacrifice". The album is concluded with, again, an ethnic improvisation " When my koto is alone..." Koto is a wonderfully sounding japanese traditional string instrument.
